Occasional thoughts from a young adult reveling in the messiness of life.
Woo hoo! Four months into the year, and I have already knocked five things off my list of 12 Things in 2012. Go me. Renewing my passport has been on my radar ever since we got married in 2009. Along with a great hubby, I also got a brand new last name in the marriage, which of course meant changing anything and everything that my maiden name had been on. It’s been almost three years, and I’m still finding things that need to be updated. However, none are as important at this stage in the game as my passport. Why, you ask? Because we have booked a trip to Italy this summer!
With the plane tickets booked, I promptly dug into the process—which form? How much? Where do I send it? The trip is in early summer, so I was a big nervous about having that deadline looming. So, I filled out the form, got my picture taken (bleh – not as good as my last one) and mailed off the form. Because of my nervousness on the timeline, I paid for the expedited fees. Less than two weeks later, my shiny new passport showed up in the mailbox.
Date accomplished: 3/29/12
